How to set up the Internet Connection in Windows 98
Double left-click
My Computer.
- Double click
Dial-Up Networking.
- If you need to
delete an old connection go on to step #4, otherwise go to step #7.
- Right click on the
connection you want to delete
- Click
Delete from the context menu.
- Click the
Yes button.
- Double click
Make New Connection.
- Type
realeasynet.com in the first box.
- In the Select a
device pull-down menu, select your modem. (most users will have only one
choice)
- Click the
Next button.
- Clear out the
Area Code box.
- In the
Telephone number box, enter the number of your dial-up POP.
- Click
Here to locate a Dial In Number
- Enter the Dial-In
Access Number that You Selected.
- Click the
Next button.
